Hail and storm damage: inspect first, then decide.
After a storm, the pressure to sign something fast comes from every door knocker in the neighborhood. Our order of operations is different: we inspect, we document with drone and on-roof photos, and then you decide what to do with a real report in your hands.
Schedule Your Storm Inspection
No cost. No pressure. Insurance claim guidance included.
What We Handle
- Post-storm inspections with drone and photo documentation
- Granule loss and shingle bruising checks
- Cracked or missing shingles
- Wind-lifted courses
- Dented vents, flashing, and gutters
- Emergency tarping for active leaks
- Full documentation for your insurance claim
Hail Damage Is Usually Invisible From the Ground
A roof can look perfectly normal from the driveway and still be finished. Hail bruises the mat under the granules, and the shingle keeps its shape for a while before it starts shedding and cracking. The signs worth a closer look are dark spots on the shingles, dented downspouts and gutter aprons, dinged vents and flashing, and granules piling up in the splash zones where your gutters drain.
We fly the roof, photograph the field, and walk it where it is safe to walk. You get the photos, not a verbal summary. If the damage is real, that report is what your claim is built on. If it is not, you still have a dated record of your roof's condition.
Colorado Storms Do Not Wait for You to Get Around to It
Colorado is one of the most hail-prone states in the country. The June 2025 hailstorm across the Grand Valley and the Front Range's regular spring storms both taught the same lesson: get the roof looked at within weeks of a storm, not months. Claim windows close, and a roof that has been quietly leaking through a winter turns a shingle problem into a decking and drywall problem.
We schedule free 48-hour inspections in the Denver metro and get to Mesa County as fast as the storm volume allows. If water is coming in now, say so when you call. Active leaks jump the line and we can tarp to hold you over.
A Straight Answer, Including No
We tell you honestly whether you have real damage. If there is no case, we say so before you ever call your insurer, and you keep our photo report either way. Filing on a roof that does not support a claim wastes your time and puts a claim on your record for nothing.
When the damage is there, we hand off cleanly into the claim: documentation, a written contractor scope, and someone on the roof with your adjuster. Where a permit is required for the repair or replacement, we pull it and schedule the required inspection.

What Customers Said
"After experiencing my 1st major hail storm in CO, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Francisco. He had done the roof on my house prior to me moving in and he was contacting his previous customers. He has been extremely helpful guiding me through the process, coordinating with insurance, and getting my roof replaced in a very timely manner."
Where We Do This Work
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
Often you cannot tell from the ground. Look for dented downspouts and gutter aprons, granule piles where the downspouts drain, and dark spots on the shingles. Those are hints, not proof. The free inspection with photo documentation is what actually settles it, one way or the other.
How soon after a storm should I get inspected?
Within a few weeks. Insurance policies have claim windows, and damage compounds once water starts moving under lifted shingles. Waiting until the next season makes it harder to tie the damage to the storm, and harder for anyone to help you document it properly.
Do you do emergency tarping?
Yes, for active leaks. Call the line, which is answered around the clock for fire damage, water damage, and active roof leaks. A tarp is a stopgap that keeps water out of your living room while the inspection, the claim, and the real repair get sorted out in daylight.
Will you tell me if there is no damage?
Yes. If there is no case, we say so and you keep the photo report. That report is worth having on file, because it dates the condition of your roof. Nobody at Gamez gets anything out of pushing a homeowner into a claim their roof does not support.
